The Journey Day 61 02.10.20

Day 61. Day 58 of #75HARD. Missed on the half-Ironman workout yesterday by 8 miles on the run. I was very simply out of gas. I thought it was just going to be the mental thing, you know? It wasn’t–at least not this time. My legs had no more go in them. Spent the rest of yesterday evening cramping and enduring the dehydration shits. You gotta love the Ironman thing if you’re going to do it. It’s kind of like the whole “Process” thing about being an entrepreneur. You gotta love her, even though she’s a terrible bitch most of the time.

GRATITUDE.
I’m grateful that I got up this morning. Last night, it was pretty much 50-50. Die? OK. Get up? OK. Strap it back up. Strap it back on. Get after it. It’s my life right now, and I love it. And this morning I’m very grateful to have that opportunity to get after it again.

NUGGETS.

My cheese has been moved. What I had is gone. I’ve got to get going in the search for more cheese. But what cheese this time? Instead of looking for a partner, I need to look for a life. As George Bernard Shaw said, “The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want and if they can’t find them, make them.” I’ve got to look for circumstances that I want and if I can’t find them, I’ve got to make them. That process continues today. The partner thing will either materialize or it won’t.
