Listening to and reporting on the talk inside of my head:
Failure. It’s on my lips and in my heart this morning. I’ve failed at a lot of shit in the past. Each failure brings its own lesson. Most failures have a dollar figure attached to it. If I added up the cost of each of those failures, I’d have to admit that I have gained a very expensive education over the course of my life. My undergrad was earned at a cost. My masters at a cost. My doctorate at a cost. And I can choose to “repay” by learning the same things over and over again, or I can continue to keep learning, changing, improving. By paying the price for new lessons (failures that come at the hands of ever-increasing risk) and increasing my degree of awareness, my ability to change, my ability to adapt, my ability to overcome, I am better prepared to meet the challenges that will come at me tomorrow.

SELF-SUGGESTION: THIS IS WHERE I’M GOING. WHERE IS THE PROOF OF PROGRESS TOWARD THAT GOAL TODAY? This is where the rubber hits the road, team. This is the good stuff. These are the end goals. This is what it’s all about.
