The workout this morning was fantastic. I felt alive again. I’m zeroed in again. My timeline: June 8. Nothing matters except achieving my goals by June 8. What’s the importance of June 8? It’s 90 days away from the day I started. I’m back in the jungle. I will live. I will thrive. I will survive. I WILL WIN THE DAY. Until there is no more day to win.

With this #75HARD base, this is what I’m adding. These are MY GOALS. Get your own. This is what I’m trying to accomplish in the next five years. These are my BHAGs–my Big, Hairy, Audacious, Goals. These are the things that drive me, the things that get me out of the bed in the morning:
- I am a man after God’s own heart.
- I am a world-class athlete.
- I drive a world-class $100M publishing business.
- I help drive the company I work for to $100M.
- emptynestman.com is the marketing machine that drives the $100M publishing company.
- I am the best man, father, and grandfather I can be.
- I am one bad-ass motherfucker.
These are my LADDER7s. These are the the top 7 things I can get done to get closer to my dream RIGHT NOW. They are built on the fourteen habits built into my life during the first 90-Day Burn:
#1: A Man After God’s Own Heart. Read the Scripture every day. Pray for the kids, the grandkids, the EX, every day. Continue the daily goal of meditation/visualization. Integrate Scripture memorization in this second 90-Day Burn. WIN.

#2: World-class athlete. Locking in on a half-triathlon. 70.3. Going to augment it this 90-Day Burn with two days heavy chest and back work, two days heavy arms, two days hard stomach training. The primary focus this session will be running. The goal is to run six days a week. LOSS.
03.12.20: 2.1 miles; no second workout
#3: Write every day. I’ve got to recreate about $3K a month in revenue — that’s going to be the locked-in goal for writing this 90-Day Burn. STUDY. WIN.
03.12.20: Wrote; studied. Word count: 59,040
#4: Get the primary company I work for to $100M. Do the elephant hunting. Keep all the other plates spinning while I do that. Focus on the Top 5 projects or exercises in place to take us to $100M. Pray for the success of the concepts and programs implemented to take the primary company to $100M. Pray for the success of the concepts and programs implemented that affect every one of our primary goals. WIN.
03.12.20: Crafted the launch letter; acquired LinkedIn Premium; continued training the marketing director replacement prayed for the success of the strategy.
#5: The Twitter Radio Rock Show. Launched. This is an hour of programming from 5:30-6:30 AM Monday through Friday where I very simply try to keep it positive. I want to give my audience links to stellar old-time rock classics, I want to keep the conversation upbeat, help people start their day positively, and, of course, add a lot of Twitter followers. My goal is to do this programming for one year and then re-evaluate. Recite the short version of the mission statement for emptynestman.com. Daily, publish the cultivated articles and continue to cultivate Twitter followers. Remember: This is a social exercise. Engage. Add to the conversation. Create value. Create Value. CREATE VALUE. WIN.
#6: Best Man, Father, and Grandfather. The house payoff has been ratcheted up: $164K. I’ve got a house to TOTALLY rehab. I’ve got the everyday responsibilities not to suck as a man, father, and grandfather. This one is going to be fun. Hope to include a lot of video on this one. Pray for the children. Pray for the grandchildren. Pray for the EX. Pray to God that I will rise up and be the best man, father, and grandfather I can be. Pray for my ongoing growth in these areas of life. Listen to YOU. Listen to my heart. Lean into the Spirit’s leading. WIN.
#7: I am one bad-ass motherfucker. There’s the immediate: the next 90-Day Burn. The race to June 8 to finish this course. There’s the bigger picture of doing the next year: the race to March 10, 2021. Then there is the overall five-year race. As Bill Gates so eloquently stated, “People totally overestimate what they can do in a year; they totally underestimate what they can do in five years.” Keep listening to the podcasts: Andy Frisella’s MFCEO and REAL AF.
